Flight of Fancy
FLIGHT OF FANCY 2000 (4m x 7m x 5m) Steel and Oak.
Commissioned by Stockport MBC for Vernon Park, Stockport.
Permanent site specific sculpture.
The sculpture is sited where a Victorian bird house once stood. It represents a folly of a Victorian bird cage and blooms of the butterfly bush, Budlea, a plant imported from China by the Victorians in the 1890's.
