LICHEN SEATS² 2000 (1m x 5m x 6m). Oak.
Commissioned by Groundwork Trust Commission, St Helen as lead artist working in collaboration with landscape architect for Bold Moss; a disused colliery, landscaped into a recreational environment as part of the 21 national Changing Places Programmes.
A total of 8 thematically connected site specific artworks produced including an entrance feature, seating, earthwork maze, community artwork, and sculpture feature. "LICHEN SEATS" is 13 carvings ranging from 60 - 100 cm in height in the form of Lichen. Sited at the highest point within the park as viewpoint seating.

MARSH REEDS 2000 (8m x 4m x 4m) Oak and Copper.
Seven carved reeds each with copper flower heads sited in one of the parks new lakes.
