The Spores
"THE SPORES" 1998 (50cm x 20m x 100m) Oak.
Permanent sculpture installation commissioned by The Grizedale Society
Riddingwood Trail, Grizedale Forest.
The installation consists of 36 carved giant Fern spores. The spores meander some 100m along the forest floor creating a trail of discovery that takes the viewer off the path and into the woodland either physically or visually for the less able bodied.
