"CHASE CHOICE – outside inside outside" 2005 IN PROGRESS

The development will provide new homes, a kick about play area and a natural habitat area. The natural habitat area has 2 reservoirs fed by a water inlet pipe (legacy of the paper mill), acid grassland, and marsh wetland. Via an art and science collaborative process, and community engagement, we will investigate issues surrounding the ecology, conservation, and management of this site, and the communities’ relationship to their back garden extension. Collaborative partnership broadened in August to include Text Artist Tony Trehy. In response to ecological experiments and consultation with the estate’s residents, a series of art interventions, performances, text, temporary and permanent public artworks will be created for the Site. Initial art and ecology research has begun. Community consultation phase 1 commenced in August 2005. Project completion September 2006
